Elbeuf: Women’s Rights Events – March 2024 Schedule
The city of Elbeuf is preparing a series of events and activities throughout March to commemorate International Women’s Rights Day on March 8th, focusing on promoting gender equality. The program includes workshops, market stands, exhibitions, film screenings, and a focus on menstrual hygiene.
Programming
February 25th: An open discussion workshop addressing violence and harassment will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Jean-Pierre Papin gymnasium (14 rue de la Rochelle).
February 26th: A stand will be present at the market featuring the “Nina et Simon·e·s” van from the Centre d’information sur les droits des femmes et des familles (CIDFF), along with the coordinator of the Atelier santé-ville and a health mediator. The stand will raise awareness about gender equality and present related resources. This will take place from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Place Lécallier.
March 4th: A health-focused discussion on gender equality will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Atelier 23 (23 rue de la République), facilitated by a health mediator.
March 7th: An exhibition titled Ailes en elles, featuring sculptures by artist Edith Molet Oghia, will be on display from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Halle aux poissons (entrance rue Augustin Henry). A conference on female artists will be held from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
March 17th: A performance of Simone Veil, une femme libre will be presented at 7:30 PM at the Théâtre des Bains Douches (17 rue Théodore Chennevière). Tickets are priced at 5€ for general admission and 3€ for reduced admission. Reservations can be made by calling 02 32 96 90 12 or 02 32 96 94 62.
March 19th: An advance screening of the film Sorda will be shown at 7:30 PM at the Grand Mercure cinema, square Raoul Grimoin Sanson, as part of the feminist month of the Rouen Normandy Metropolis.
