Kalos Event: Starttijd & Details | Pokémon GO
Pokémon GO trainers are gearing up for the Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos, but before the main event, Niantic is launching the “Road to Kalos” event. This event, running from February 23rd to February 27th, will spotlight regions featured in previous Tours, offering increased Pokémon encounters and special content each day.
A Regional Journey
The Road to Kalos event is structured around a daily focus on a different region previously highlighted in a Pokémon GO Tour. Each day will bring boosted spawns of Pokémon native to that region, alongside unique Raid opportunities and research tasks.
Daily Encounters and Raids
Trainers can expect the following regional spotlights:
- February 23rd: Kanto – Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Clefairy, Meowth, and more will appear more frequently. Level-1 Raids will feature Pikachu with Red’s hat and Pikachu with Leaf’s hat, while Level-5 Raids will host Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.
- February 24th: Johto – Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Marill, Hoppip, Teddiursa, and more will be more common. Pikachu with Ethan’s hat and Pikachu with Lyra’s hat will appear in Level-1 Raids, and Shadow Lugia and Shadow Ho-Oh will challenge trainers in Level-5 Raids.
- February 25th: Hoenn – Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Poochyena, Taillow, Nincada, and more will be appearing in the wild. Level-1 Raids will feature Pikachu with Brendan’s hat and Pikachu with May’s bow, and Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon will be available in Primal Raids.
- February 26th: Sinnoh – Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Bidoof, Shinx, Snover, and more will be more frequently encountered. Level-1 Raids will feature Pikachu with Lucas’s hat and Pikachu with Dawn’s hat, while Level-5 Raids will feature Dialga and Palkia. Space-Time Anomalies will also appear, with Pikachu with Rei’s cap and Pikachu with Akari’s kerchief in Level-1 Raids and Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia in Level-5 Raids.
- February 27th: Unova – Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Lillipup, Darumaka, Gothita, and more will be appearing. Level-1 Raids will feature Pikachu with Hilbert’s hat, Pikachu with Hilda’s hat, Pikachu with Nate’s visor, and Pikachu with Rosa’s visor. Level-5 Raids will feature Reshiram, Black Kyurem, Zekrom, and White Kyurem.
Each day will also feature a Raid Hour focusing on the Level-5 Raid bosses. On February 26th, Raid bosses will rotate hourly, with Level-1 and Level-5 Raids also rotating during Raid Hour.
Additional Event Features
Beyond the regional spotlights and Raids, the Road to Kalos event offers several bonuses and features. Kyurem, Origin Forme Palkia, and Origin Forme Dialga have a chance to know their special attacks. Defeating Black or White Kyurem may reward players with Fusion Energy. Certain Pokémon will also be able to learn new attacks, including Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Kyogre, Groudon, Origin Forme Dialga, Origin Forme Palkia, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem.
Trainers can also look forward to Raid Bosses with a chance of having a Special Background, special 2 km Eggs, halved egg hatch distances, an increased Remote Raid Pass limit (30 per day, unlimited on weekends), free daily Timed Research encounters, special Field Research Tasks, and a special Go Pass (Deluxe).
