The Allegheny National Forest (ANF) offers over 513,000 acres of free public access lands. It is the only National Forest in Pennsylvania. The ANF is know as "Trail Central." Hiking, biking, mountain biking, and designated ATV and snowmobile trails make it a four-season destination. Towns offering restaurants, lodging, entertainment and shopping include entry points: Bradford & Kane. Other towns nearby include: Eldred, Port Allegany, Smethport, Rew, Ludlow, and Lantz Corners. Lodging options on the Forest include full-service cabins, RV and Tent sites, and rustic cabins. Sites include shoreline sites along the Allegheny Reservoir. Highlights include the Longhouse National Scenic Byway, Willow Bay Recreation Area, the North Country Trail.
