Bank fishing, hiking, paddling, boating, and wildlife viewing are all popular activities at Honker Bay Day Use Area. Overnight camping in not permitted here as it is a designated “Nature Watch Area”. A 4.5-mile loop hiking trail circles the adjacent Honker Lake, taking the hiker through lakeshore, uplands, and bottomland forest. Kayaking and canoeing on Honker Lake and Honker Bay provide a different vantage point to wildlife in these calm waters. Watch osprey dive for fish, see lotus flowers blooming, and hear beavers slap the water with their paddle-like tail.
