Middlebury Men’s Track & Field: Pantzer Sets PB, Wins 4×400 Relay
Middlebury College men’s track and field athletes competed in two invitationals in Boston over the weekend: the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational and the Tufts Cupid Challenge. The Valentine Invitational included competitors from all three NCAA divisions, as well as professional athletes.
Strong Performances in Boston
Sebastian Pantzer achieved a personal best in the 400-meter dash on Friday. He then contributed to the winning 4×400 relay team on Saturday, alongside Emerson Kington, Caspar and Lawton, with a time of 3:22.16.
Additional Highlights from the Weekend
Several other Middlebury athletes achieved notable results. Harvey Jr. Won the 60-meter invite final in 6.89 seconds, beating Springfield’s Josh Goffe by one-hundredth of a second. Ben Klingle secured second place in the mile run, finishing in 4:22.48 – a personal best improvement of 4.49 seconds. Jakob Kuelps finished fourth in his first collegiate mile, clocking in at 4:23.97.
Toby Warmack tied for third in the high jump, clearing 1.97m. Sholk finished third in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:32.73, over seven seconds faster than his previous outing. Ian Larkin also achieved his best season time in the 3,000, finishing seventh at 8:46.06. Finn Albright placed fourth in the 60 hurdles (8.53), and Jed Nelson was fourth in the triple jump (13.82m).
