South Pasadena concertgoers will have the opportunity to experience the works of Beethoven and Chopin performed by acclaimed Italian pianist Rodolfo Leone on Sunday, February 8, 2026. The solo recital, presented by the Restoration Concerts Committee of the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library, will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the historic Library Community Room, located at 1115 El Centro St.

A Celebrated Pianist

Rodolfo Leone has garnered international recognition, notably winning first prize at the 2017 International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna. Described as “a true sound philosopher” by Oberösterreichische Nachrichten, Leone’s performances are known for their commanding technique, expressive depth, and refined artistry.

Leone’s recent engagements demonstrate a diverse repertoire, including performances with the North Carolina Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Bozeman Symphony, Pasadena Symphony, and the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also collaborated with Demarre McGill and the Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth.
