Reverb: Immersive Art & Sound Exhibition Extended to March 2025
A highly popular exhibition, The Vinyl Factory: Reverb, has been extended due to strong public interest and will now run until March 2, 2025. Tickets are currently available through the 180 Studios website.
A Celebration of Audiovisual Art
Reverb showcases 17 distinct audiovisual installations, representing 20 years of commissions and collaborations by The Vinyl Factory. The exhibition features both established and emerging artists, including new works by Es Devlin and Theaster Gates, alongside the immersive Hi-Fi Listening Room Dream No.1 created by Devon Turnbull.
The exhibition also includes UK premieres from Kahlil Joseph, Stan Douglas, and Cecilia Bengolea, as well as installations by William Kentridge, Jenn Nkiru, Hito Steyerl, and Gabriel Moses. A dedicated space, designed by Ben Kelly, displays 100 vinyl records created by artists and released by The Vinyl Factory.
A Diverse Collection of Vinyl Releases
The 100 vinyl records on display represent a wide range of artists, including Nan Goldin, Arthur Jafa, Pipilotti Rist, William Kentridge, Mica Levi, Marina Abramovic, Grace Jones, Yussef Dayes, Es Devlin, Fred Again, Thom Yorke, Ragnar Kjartansson, Massive Attack, Pet Shop Boys, Maurizio Cattelan, Daft Punk, The xx, Rachel Rose, Kojey Radical, and Taryn Simon.
Devon Turnbull’s Hi-Fi Listening Room Dream No.1 provides a meditative space for experiencing vinyl, featuring an evolving program of rare and unheard music, including exclusive test pressings and studio outtakes. Artists Haseeb Iqbal and Charlie Dark have already hosted listening sessions within the room.
Exclusive Performances and Opportunities
Amplified, Theaster Gates’ installation, hosts intimate live performances curated in partnership with Alaska Alaska and Reference Point, featuring musicians like Ragz Originale, Jamilah Barry, Hendrix Harris, Caleb Femi, Kokoroko, and Fabiana Palladino. These performances are invite-only, but 180 Studios is offering opportunities to win tickets through their Instagram account.
