Round Rock ISD 4YOU Health Clinic to open Feb. 18

Round Rock ISD 4YOU Health Clinic to open Feb. 18

February 12, 2026 discoverhiddenusacom Entertainment

Round Rock Independent School District (RRISD) is preparing to open the 4YOU Health Center for its employees this month. The move comes after initial discussions began in February 2025, driven by a need to manage rising healthcare expenses.

Addressing Rising Costs

The district’s board of trustees initially considered the possibility of an employee health clinic as a potential cost-saving measure. Chief of Human Resources Eddie Curran explained the goal was to offer services comparable to those received through primary care physicians, but at a reduced cost. This consideration followed a 15% increase in healthcare costs observed between 2021 and 2025.

A Contract with Marathon Health

In August, the board approved a contract with Marathon Health to operate the clinic. The agreement, with an initial four-year term, includes provisions for scaling services based on district staffing levels – whether through layoffs or increased hiring.

Did You Know? The contract between RRISD and Marathon Health allows for the district to adjust services based on changes in employee headcount.

The 4YOU Health Center will offer a comprehensive range of in-house medical services to RRISD employees. These services include primary and preventative care, men’s and women’s health, mental health support, general wellness programs, condition management, urgent care, and a pharmacy.

What’s on the Horizon?

The clinic is scheduled to officially open on February 18th at 1551 E. Old Settlers Blvd. Following the initial four-year period, the contract with Marathon Health will automatically renew for one-year terms unless either party decides to terminate the agreement. This proves possible the district could expand the clinic’s offerings or adjust its services based on employee needs and budgetary considerations.

Expert Insight: Providing on-site healthcare access for employees represents a strategic investment in workforce well-being, potentially leading to increased productivity and reduced absenteeism. The flexible contract terms allow the district to adapt to changing circumstances and ensure the clinic remains a viable resource.
