Crucially, applicants are required to obtain a Texas Driver’s License within 90 days of hire and a Security Officer state license – either Non-Commissioned, Level 3 Commissioned, or Level 4 Personal Protection Officer – within one year of employment.

Additional required certifications include Certified Security Officer certification from the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI). Basic Life Support certification is preferred, but not required.
