Linfield University swimmers delivered strong performances at the Northwest Conference Championships in Boise, Idaho, on Saturday, earning a combined 10 A finalist and 14 total finalist spots. Senior athletes led the charge, securing top-three finishes and positioning the team for a competitive final day.

Strong Performances Highlight Saturday’s Session

The Linfield women’s team began the evening with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, narrowly trailing George Fox. Senior Sarah Arpag claimed a bronze medal in the women’s 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.97, while teammate Kira Etheredge finished sixth in the same event, clocking in at 58.72. Kirsti Keppo, seeded first in the conference, secured second place in the women’s 200-yard freestyle.

On the men’s side, Jack Sappington and Ivan Tontchev finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 100-yard breaststroke.
