Unilever Sponsors RFEF: Hellmann’s & Skip Back Spanish Football
Spain’s national soccer federation, the RFEF, has announced a new two-year sponsorship agreement with Unilever, a global consumer products company.
A Broadening Partnership for Spanish Soccer
The deal will see Unilever’s Hellmann’s condiments and Skip laundry brands sponsor both the Spanish national men’s and women’s soccer teams. This marks the first sponsorship agreement for the RFEF with a brand in this sector, according to Ramon Plaza, director of the commercial and business development department at the RFEF.
Activating the Sponsorship
To promote the partnership, limited-edition Hellmann’s products will be released, featuring collectible packaging with images of key players from the national teams. The campaign will also focus on local engagement through collaborations with content creators and in-store promotions.
Unilever’s Expanding Sports Portfolio
Unilever has been actively increasing its presence in sports sponsorships over the past year. Recent deals include becoming the first dedicated sponsor of women’s cricket for the International Cricket Council and a partnership with the men’s and women’s Rugby World Cup tournaments. The company has also renewed existing partnerships with Arsenal and Manchester City of the English Premier League, and with the NFL in American football.
Hellmann’s and Skip now join the RFEF’s fourth-tier of official collaborators, alongside Nestle, Renfe, Panini, Cabreiroa, and Eneryeti.
