UNIQLO x LA Dodgers: Supporting the Los Angeles Community
The Los Angeles Dodgers and global apparel retailer UNIQLO have announced the next phase of their historic partnership, launching a series of social impact initiatives designed to support the Los Angeles community. This first phase focuses on events and activities centered at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium.
A New Model for Community Engagement
The partnership aims to move beyond traditional sports sponsorships to create a meaningful social contribution. By combining the cultural significance of the Dodgers with the global reach of UNIQLO, the programme seeks to inspire the next generation through baseball and clothing.

Lon Rosen, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Los Angeles Dodgers, noted that thousands of fans, particularly children, are expected to benefit immediately from these multifaceted initiatives.
The UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium Academy
As a cornerstone of the programme, the Academy will utilize a weekly, curriculum-driven approach for participants known as “UNIQLO Field Scholars.” These students will explore the legacy of Dodger Stadium and the influence of Jackie Robinson in advancing social change.

The curriculum also includes behind-the-scenes exposure to stadium operations and environmental stewardship via the botanical gardens. Participants will receive specially designed UNIQLO T-shirts as keepsakes of the experience.
Expanding Global Youth Baseball
Youth athletes aged 7-14 will have access to international programs featuring skills clinics and games. These events will take place at UNIQLO Field and other regional locations, with the involvement of Dodgers alumni.
The first event is scheduled for August in collaboration with the World Children’s Baseball Foundation. This effort is led by Japan baseball legend Sadaharu Oh, the world record holder for career home runs, to bring together players from Japan and Los Angeles.
The Heart of LifeWear Initiative
This fall and winter, UNIQLO and the Dodgers will expand “The Heart of LifeWear” in Los Angeles through a collaboration with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. This effort aims to deliver essential support and warmth to local families.
Since its 2024 launch, The Heart of LifeWear has provided one million pieces of new HEATTECH clothing annually to people in need worldwide. The partnership now brings this global scale to the local Los Angeles community.
Future Outlook
Because this represents only the first phase of a long-term commitment, the two organizations may continue to identify new ways to create a positive impact. Future efforts are likely to build upon their shared vision of being the world’s No. 1 in their respective fields.
Additional initiatives could potentially expand the reach of the youth programs or further integrate the LifeWear initiative into other community support systems across the region.
