Vanderbilt swimming concluded its regular season at the Arkansas Natatorium, marking their fifth consecutive year competing at the facility. Despite a 145-108 loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Commodores demonstrated strong individual performances, with 12 swimmers achieving personal records and Melissa Cowen securing an individual victory.
Strong Performances Highlight Regular Season Finale
Head coach Jeremy Organ expressed optimism about the team’s trajectory, stating, “We’re lucky to be able to go up there and get this competition in so I hope we can take advantage of this opportunity.” He added, “I know we’re ready for this final push as we near the postseason.”
The Commodores began the day with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, featuring Aubrey Hull, Emily Constable, Kate Heintz, and Cowen. Constable and Cowen both achieved podium finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke, placing second and third respectively. Bailey Ratzburg recorded a career-best time of 1:51.28 in the 200-yard freestyle.

Aubrey Hull secured a second-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:58.26. Quinlan Hinerfeld qualified for the CSCAA National Invitational Championship B cut, finishing fifth in the 200-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 2:01.44. Melissa Cowen’s winning time in the 200-yard breaststroke was 2:13.64.
Abby Hite and Jenna Ravarino both achieved career-best times in the 50-yard freestyle, recording 23.77 and 23.97 seconds, respectively. Ryen Bosuro and Hite also posted season-best times in the 100-yard freestyle, with times of 52.54 and 52.20 seconds. Elyane Chen and Kendall Hall finished second and third in the 500-yard freestyle.

The Commodores concluded the meet with a season-best time of 3:25.71 in the 400-yard freestyle relay, swum by Hull, Hite, Bosuro, and Cowen.
Coach Organ highlighted the team’s overall performance, stating, “We felt like we had a really great team performance today as seen by the number of season-best times.” He emphasized the importance of refining details as they prepare for the championship season, adding, “As we look forward to the championship season we need to just keep working on the little details for great performances.”
