Brightwater Lagoon announces Father’s Day events

Brightwater Lagoon announces Father’s Day events

June 2, 2026 discoverhiddenusacom Entertainment

Brightwater Lagoon is expanding its seasonal offerings with a series of curated events designed to celebrate fathers through a blend of traditional craftsmanship and family-oriented skill-building.

Curated Experiences for Father’s Day

The celebration begins on Friday, June 5, with the “Father’s Day Out: Leather & Whiskey Class.” From 8 p.m. To 10 p.m., guests can work with an Angel’s Envy representative to craft a personalized Old-Fashioned cocktail using a variety of syrups and bitters.

Complementing the mixology experience, the Boho Hat Co. Will host a leather branding station. Attendees can create a unique keepsake, with options including a koozie, card wallet, or key chain.

Tickets for this event are priced at $40. This cost includes one drink, one branded leather item, and a Day Ticket for a future visit to the lagoon. Space for this event is limited, and reservations are available at MetroLagoons.com/Ticketed-Events.

Did You Know? Brightwater Lagoon is the first of four MetroLagoons locations to open in Southwest Florida, featuring six acres of clear blue water.

Bridging the Gap with Pints & Ponytails

On Wednesday, June 24, the venue will host the “Pints & Ponytails” event from 5:30 p.m. To 7:30 p.m. The Florida Academy Cosmetology School will be onsite to teach fathers how to style their daughters’ hair.

The instructional session covers four different hairstyles and provides professional product recommendations for maintenance. Participants will receive a kit containing bobby pins, hair elastics, and decorative clips.

Following the class, dads can enjoy a complimentary draft beer at the Sandbar, while children are provided with a free Shirley Temple. Tickets for this event are $5 and can be reserved at MetroLagoons.com/Ticketed-Events.

Expert Insight: Samantha Carter notes that by pairing high-end spirits with domestic skill-sharing, the venue is targeting a broader emotional spectrum of fatherhood. This strategy could signal a shift toward “experiential” Father’s Day programming that balances traditional masculine tropes with active parental engagement.

Beyond the Events: Lagoon Amenities

For those seeking a general celebration, the lagoon offers a variety of signature attractions. Guests can access sandy beaches, lounge chairs, and a resort-style swim-up bar, alongside food trucks and kayak or paddleboard rentals.

The facility recently introduced a new floating obstacle course. This addition features monkey bars, new slides, and jumping spots that reach over 12 feet in height.

Located at 8630 Sunny Page Lane in North Fort Myers, the venue allows guests to purchase a Day Ticket with a Splash Pass. Additional upgrades, such as shaded rental spaces, are also available to enhance the visit.

Further information can be found at MetroLagoons.com/Lagoon/Brightwater or by calling 813-444-5221.

Looking Ahead

Given the diversity of these offerings, Brightwater Lagoon may continue to implement hybrid events that combine educational workshops with leisure activities. This approach is likely to attract a wider demographic of families seeking non-traditional holiday celebrations.
