Team GB: Milano Cortina 2026 Snowboard, Freeski & Sliding Teams Revealed
As the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics approach, Team GB has announced key selections to its roster, including seasoned veterans and emerging talents. These athletes represent a diverse range of winter sports, from alpine skiing to bobsleigh, and signal the nation’s commitment to competition on the world stage.
Experienced Olympians Lead the Charge
Dave Ryding, competing in his fifth and final Olympic Winter Games, will lead the men’s Alpine skiing slalom team alongside Billy Major and Laurie Taylor. Ryding, who achieved a career-best ninth-place finish at PyeongChang 2018, expressed his honor at representing Team GB for a fifth time, stating it’s a dream realized since his debut in 2010. Andrew Musgrave is also preparing for a potential fifth Olympic appearance, selected for the men’s cross-country skiing team with James Clugnet, Joe Davies, and Anna Pryce – the latter being Team GB’s first female Olympic cross-country skier since 2018.
Bobsleigh and Beyond
The bobsleigh squad boasts significant credentials, with Team Brad Hall – comprised of Hall, Leon Greenwood, Taylor Lawrence, and Greg Cackett – bringing world silver and bronze medals from 2023 and 2025, respectively, to the four-man event. Hall and Lawrence will also compete in the two-man bobsleigh. A notable addition to the team comes from athletes with summer Olympic experience. Adelé Nicoll will compete in both the monobob and two-woman bobsleigh, while Ashleigh Nelson, a veteran of the Beijing 2008 and Tokyo 2020 Summer Games, has transitioned to bobsleigh after being recruited by Nicoll following a successful athletics career.
These athletes join previously selected teams in curling, figure skating, short track, and speed skating, forming a comprehensive Team GB contingent for the upcoming Games.
Team Composition Across Disciplines
The curling teams will see Bruce Mouat, Grant Hardie, Hammy McMillan Jnr, Bobby Lammie, and Kyle Waddell representing the men, while Rebecca Morrison, Sophie Jackson, Sophie Sinclair, Jennifer Dodds, and Fay Henderson will compete for the women. In figure skating, Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson, along with Phebe Bekker and James Hernandez, will participate in both team and ice dance events. Anastasia Vaipan-Law and Luke Digby will compete in the team event/pairs, Kristen Spours in the team event/women’s singles, and Edward Appleby in the team event.
