Vitamin deficiencies may contribute to chronic fatigue and low motivation
Recent research has uncovered a potential link between vitamin deficiencies and fatigue, shedding light on a growing concern in modern society. A study led by Professor Hiroaki Kanouchi at Osaka Metropolitan University’s Graduate School of Human Life and Ecology explored how imbalances in water-soluble vitamins might contribute to persistent tiredness. The findings, published in Nutrients, suggest that low levels of folate (B9) and vitamin B12 could be tied to elevated homocysteine (Hcy) levels, which in turn may influence fatigue and motivation.
Did You Know? The study involved 600 healthy Japanese participants, making it one of the largest investigations into the relationship between vitamin status and fatigue symptoms.
The research team measured Hcy, folate, and B12
