WWE Commentary Team Change Confirmed
A shift in the commentary lineup for one of WWE’s weekly programs has been confirmed, stemming from a change in responsibilities for one of its announcers. The move follows a recent leadership transition within NXT.
New Leadership for NXT
Last week on NXT, Shawn Michaels announced Robert Stone as the Interim General Manager, following the departure of Ava. Stone previously served as an assistant to Ava on NXT. He has also contributed as a commentator on WWE Evolve for the past year, working alongside Peter Rosenberg.
Stone Steps Down from Commentary Role
Robert Stone announced today that his current appearance on WWE Evolve will be his last as an analyst. He shared the news via a social media post, citing the demands of his new role.
Stone stated: “After the chaos that went down last night on NXT, it’s clear I need to put my full focus on my role as Interim NXT General Manager. With that said, tonight will sadly be my final night analyzing the action on #WWEEvolve. What an incredible 1st year for the show. Make sure you continue watching the next generation of talent be born every week on @Tubi. Trust me… I’ll be watching too.”
What’s on Tap for Tonight’s WWE Evolve
Tonight’s WWE Evolve event will feature Kendal Grey defending the Evolve Women’s Championship against Karmen Petrovic. The card also includes a match between Swipe Right and the team of Eli Knight & Mike Cunningham and a bout between It’s Gal and Aaron Rourke.
