Youth Cinema Ambassadors Curate Special Film Screening Event
Three 17-year-old Cinema Ambassadors—Nema-Ali Mohamed, Lola He-Le Louarn, and Owen Hervé—have curated a special film lineup for Saturday, June 20. The selection is designed to celebrate the spirit of the music festival season.
A Curated Musical Journey
The event, held at Quai des images, features three distinct cinematic experiences. The day begins at 14:15 with the family-friendly animation “Tous en scène.”
The programming continues at 18:00 with the cult musical “Les Demoiselles de Rochefort.” The evening concludes at 21:00 with “Summertime,” a subtitled original version film discovered at the Travelling festival in Rennes.
Empowering the Next Generation of Cinephiles
This initiative is part of a broader effort to introduce individuals aged 15 to 25 to the world of art-house cinema. The programme encourages youth to move beyond mainstream offerings and explore more artistic works.
Marion Seine, a mediator for Cinéphare, supports a group of seven young people in this endeavor. This group includes the three Loudéaciens responsible for the June 20 selection.
Looking Ahead
Given the structure of the Ambassadeurs programme, more youth-led screenings could emerge across the 33 participating structures. Such initiatives may lead to increased youth attendance at art-house venues.

Future selections could potentially continue to align with cultural events, as seen with the current tie-in to the music festival period.
