Tennessee Tech Softball Heads to Gardner-Webb’s Red and Black Classic
The Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles (0-4) will compete in the Gardner-Webb Red and Black Classic this weekend in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. The tournament begins Friday, February 13th, and continues through Sunday, February 15th.
Friday’s Doubleheader
Tech opens the classic with a 9:00 AM contest against Lehigh, followed by a 11:30 AM game against Queens. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 3-2 showing at the Felsberg Invitational, while Queens recently suffered a 7-5 loss to Bowling Green.
Saturday and Sunday Matchups
Saturday features a 9:00 AM rematch against Queens and a 2:00 PM game against the tournament host, Gardner-Webb. The Runnin’ Bulldogs are 3-2 to start the season after hosting their own tournament last week. Tech will conclude the event on Sunday with a 9:00 AM game against Lehigh.
