Unrivaled Semifinals: Barclays Center Brooklyn | [Year]

Unrivaled Semifinals: Barclays Center Brooklyn | [Year]

February 13, 2026 discoverhiddenusacom Sports

Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 basketball league co-owned by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, is expanding its footprint with a return to the road. Following a successful venture to Philadelphia last month, the league will hold its semifinal playoff games at Barclays centre in Brooklyn next month.

Expanding Beyond the Florida Base

This marks the second time this season Unrivaled has played games outside of its Miami base. The league announced Friday that the Barclays centre, home to the WNBA’s New York Liberty and the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, will host a pair of semifinal games on March 2.

Playoff Format

Unrivaled’s postseason will involve the top six of its eight teams. The first round, featuring matchups between the third and sixth seeds, is scheduled for February 28 at Sephora Arena in Medley, Florida – the league’s home arena. After the Brooklyn semifinals, the league will return to Florida for the final game on March 4.

Did You Know? Unrivaled drew a professional women’s basketball regular-season record crowd of 21,490 to its games in Philadelphia.

The trip to Philadelphia, where Unrivaled staged two games at Xfinity Mobile Arena in January, served as a test case. League officials sought to determine if taking the league’s product on the road could generate new revenue and broaden its fan base, while also adjusting a business model initially focused on centralization.

A Record-Breaking Crowd

The Philadelphia games attracted a notable audience, including “Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts, Sixers guard Kyle Lowry, and comedians Leslie Jones and Wanda Sykes. This attendance figure represents a new high for professional women’s basketball regular-season games.

Expert Insight: The decision to expand beyond a centralized location suggests a strategic shift towards market diversification. Successfully replicating the Philadelphia attendance numbers in Brooklyn and beyond could be pivotal for the long-term financial viability and growth of the league.

If the league continues to draw large crowds in new markets, it may be likely to explore further opportunities to stage games in different cities. A possible next step could involve securing additional partnerships with arenas and local organizations to facilitate these events. Analysts expect that continued success on the road could attract further investment and sponsorship opportunities.
